National Apprenticeship Week: Meet Castle’s Apprentices!
This week is National Apprenticeship Week, from 8-14th February 2021. The annual event aims to highlight all the amazing work being done by employers and apprentices across the country. Here at Castle, we have a great team of apprentices working in all different departments. We currently have 13 apprentices, all of which we have taken on in the past year during the COVID-19 pandemic. This week, we wanted to take the opportunity to shine a light on our apprentices and all the excellent work they do for us.
The theme for NAW2021 year is “Build the Future” which aims to encourage everyone to consider how apprenticeships help individuals to build the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career. Apprenticeships are great because they help the apprentices to develop new skills and knowledge to pursue a career in their chosen field. And they help us an employer to build a workforce with the skills we need for the long term.
We love working with apprentices, helping them to learn on the job and teaching them new skills for their future careers and life. Apprentices are a real asset to our company, and we take the time to train them and help them through their apprenticeship. We do everything we can to ensure they have a job here once they’ve completed it. Some of our longest-serving, senior staff members joined Castle as apprentices!
So, we thought we’d #AskAnApprentice to tell us a little bit about themselves. We asked them to discuss their role and their time at Castle, and why they chose to do an apprenticeship. This way you can get to know our apprentices in their own words!
During the week we are going to be posting individual blogs written by each of our apprentices. So, you can get to know our apprentices and learn about their role at Castle.
We loved learning more about our apprentices and hope you’ll enjoy it too! Castle would like to take this opportunity to thank all our apprentices for their continued hard work and dedication. Especially during such unprecedented times.
Happy National Apprenticeship Week!
