This week is National Apprenticeship Week, which aims to highlight all the amazing work being done by employers and apprentices across the country. This week, we wanted to take the opportunity to shine a light on our apprentices and all the great work they do for us.

So, each day we thought we’d #AskAnApprentice to tell us a little bit about themselves. Discuss their role and their time at Castle, and why they chose to do an apprenticeship. So, you can get to know our apprentices in their own words!

Today we are meeting our apprentices from the content marketing team.

Content Marketing Apprentices

Taylor Johnson, Content Marketing Assistant

I have been working at Castle for 4 months now and I have loved every minute. I graduated from University with a psychology degree. However, I realised my passion for marketing in my final year when I started volunteering as a social media marketer.

I love all things content and creation. This is why I wanted to explore this aspect of marketing. It was perfect for me as it meant that I could develop a greater understanding of digital marketing with my apprenticeship and gain a qualification. As well as being surrounded by marketing experts.

As a content writer, my favourite thing is that I can create pieces that inspire me and hopefully inspire others. It allows me to come up with new, creative ways to write about topics whilst also working alongside some incredible businesses. I look forward to learning more about digital marketing and pursuing a long-term career in this field.

Gemma Judge, Content Assistant

My name is Gemma. I am currently working as a Content Assistant for Castle.

The reason I chose to do an apprenticeship was as a means for me to gain a variety of new digital skills. So, I could pursue a career in the creative field as an art director.

On the days I’m not working, I spend time on my art page. Painting commissions for clients, alongside spending time outside, is another passion of mine. I love taking a break from the busy day, by heading out in the fresh air.

As a content marketer, my daily duties consist of researching and writing product descriptions, articles and blog pages for clients. I enjoy working on different projects. It keeps me occupied and interested. Doing the same thing every day would be rather dull!

I keep learning and building my skill set up. Being an apprentice for Castle has given me a real insight into how the workplace operates.
